Match One Vs Tron W-L-L
Game One V Tron
Kept: Meticulous Archive, Subtlety, Living End, Striped Riverwinder, Ardent Plea, Generous Ent and Altanak, the Thrice Called.
Was unable to cascade on 3 as I missed topdecking the third land, but lucked into a turn 4 cascade with a topdecked Shardless Agent and Force/Subtlety backup. This was enough to win as opponent attempted an All Is Dust, and Force of Negation took it down.
Game Two
In: 2 Inevitable Betrayal, 1 Foundation Breaker, 2 Force of Vigor, 1 Commandeer.
Out: 3 Living End, 2 Endurance, 1 Solitude.
Kept: Striped Riverwinder, Street Wraith, Shardless Agent, Sink into Stupor, Generous Ent, Hedge Maze and Force of Negation.
Found out the opponent was actually on eldrazi with their turn 3 Eldrazi Temple. I followed that with a turn 3 cascade into Betrayal and stole an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. They responded with a Portent of Calamity to cast their own Emrakul with the cast trigger for game, after baiting my force with Karn the Great Creator. In hindsight, Annihilator isn't affected by The One Ring's protection and I had drawn a Foundation Breaker to answer an Ensnaring Bridge, so I should have let Karn resolve.
Game Three
No sideboard changes.
Kept: Glassdust Hulk, Ardent Plea, Striped Riverwinder, Temple Garden, Hallowed Fountain, Foundation Breaker, Force of Vigor
Opponent played an early Soulless Jailer which I happily Foundation Breakered. This delayed my cascade to turn 4 but I got it off successfully and stole an Emrakul again. I had drawn Subtlety and Force of Negation as interaction to keep my lead. I let a Karn resolve thinking of my previous loss, expecting a Ring or similar. Instead, I had forgotten that Cityscape Leveler existed, and they blew up emrakul. On their next turn they attempted to Stone Brain me, which I Forced, but they played a second Karn to rebuy it. They took out the second Betrayal and on their next turn cast Emrakul for game.
Match Two Vs Frogtide L-L
Game One
Kept: Forest, Shardless Agent, Ardent Plea, Street Wraith, Endurance, Flooded Strand.
Drew into a Subtlety to slow down opponent's turn 2 Psychic Frog. I then drew two of my living ends. They discarded an Abhorrent Oculus with Frog and then Fatal Pushed their Frog in response to my turn 3 cascade. I targeted Shardless with my Subtlety ETB in order to attempt another cascade later. After putting my LE back into the deck with Endurance and fogging a combat step, they milled another Oculus with the first's upkeep trigger and, staring down disaster, I conceded.
Game Two:
Out: 3x Subtlety, 4x Force of Negation, 1x Solitude
In: 3x Leyline of the Void, 3x Mystical Dispute, 2x Teferi, Time Raveler
Kept: Endurance, Teferi, Strand, Shardless, Misty, Ent
I attempted a turn 3 Teferi which ate a Counterspell. I then chained three Endurances together, one of which ate a Counterspell of its own, before attempting a cascade when I was staring down lethal. This brought out a Consign to Memory, which I conceded to.
Match Three Vs Broodscale L-L
Game One
Kept: Shardless Agent, Ardent PLea, Generous Ent, Witch Enchanter, Hallowed Fountain, Altanak
Opponent led with an Ancient Stirrings into Glaring Fleshraker. I had a slow start with just Subtlety and Ent in grave, and they Kozilek's Commanded them both in response to my first cascade. They then jammed the combo and killed me.
Game Two:
In: 3x Leyline of the Void, 2x Force of Vigor, 1x Foundation Breaker
Out: 4x Endurance, 1x Altanak, 1x Subtlety
Kept: Striped Riverwinder, Street Wraith, Hallowed Fountain, Ardent Plea, Generous Ent, Solitude, Witch Enchanter
A turn 3 cascade on the play with Force and Solitude backup allowed me to survive a turn 3 combo attempt into a turn 4 combo attempt. Opponent ended up finding the cards for a 3rd attempt that I could not stop, but I had removed Fleshraker earlier so they had to pass the turn and I was able to cascade a third time. At this point they were hellbent with two Blade of the Bloodchiefs and a Fleshraker in play. They topdecked Malevolent Rumble, found Evolution Witness, and proceeded to have exactly enough mana to get back a Broodscale to combo kill me.
At this point after matching up against three hard matchups and being 0-3, I decided to call it quits.
